The PAD-CO Book was written over a period of several years by very busy folks who somehow managed to get some time to get their words and thoughts together.
We all participate in a parents-only group, the PAD-CO listserv (Parents of Adults with Disabilities in Colorado). We decided that we should put some of our ideas down to share with others, and started writing this book solely on the internet, using a web page to share ideas.
Our major problem was that our lives were so busy with our children and their life changes, that it was difficult to get it all together. But, finally, we were able to put our thoughts down and present them on the internet for you.
If you are in a parental role with an older child or an adult with a disability, and would like to participate in the PAD-CO Colorado listserv, please send an email stating that you are the parent of a child with a disability to PAD-CO
